Explore Saskatoon this June Long!

The Prairie Lilly

Happy news: The Prairie Lilly is now open for the year. If you are unfamiliar with the Prairie Lily, it is a riverboat that allows you to see Saskatoon from a fresh perspective as it travels along the river. It provides dining, entertainment, and other amenities. If you’re still with your kids, you can cross the street to Nutrien Playland, also known as Kinsmen Park, and spend some time there. All ages will enjoy visiting this playland, which is a traditional family trip in Saskatoon. There is something for everyone, whether you take the train or the Ferris wheel. After you ride the rides, purchase a charcuterie box from YXE Style & Graze for a picnic lunch that you can enjoy there.

Valley Road

The Berry Barn is a great place to spend some time and enjoy a fantastic lunch. Visit their greenhouse, indulge in some ice cream, and stroll alongside the river. Other neighbourhood greenhouses, Crickle Creek, and Moon Lake Golf and Country Club are located along Valley Road. Be sure to visit Black Fox Farm & Distillery as well! You won’t be let down whether you tour the distillery or just relax on the patio with some excellent drinks!

Wanuskewin

Visits to Wanuskewin are essential! Make a plan to explore and discover the stunning grounds, exhibitions, and galleries. After that, take in a guided Bison Walk and a performance of Indigenous dance or song. Additionally, there is a restaurant serving traditional Indigenous food with a modern touch. Try the iced muskeg peach tea; it is SO refreshing! Check out the various summertime activities that Wanuskewin has to offer!

Indoor Activities

Visit the Saskatchewan Aviation Museum, The Western Development Museum, and The Stoked Centre at Wilson’s. Your children will have a great time, and you’ll exhaust them for bedtime! If you’re looking for kid-free activities, we suggest visiting Remai Modern and dining at the just-opened Hearth or making a reservation at one of our neighbourhood breweries (9Mile, Stumbletown Distilling) for a tour and a drink!

Stay in Saskatoon with your family and explore everything the city has to offer! So there is always something to do; happy May Long! You can walk along the Meewasin trails or have ice cream at the Bus Stop Refreshments.
