The Nutrien Children’s Festival

Returning is the Nutrien Children’s Festival! With musical performances, a hedge maze, animals, and much more, this arts festival is ideal for the whole family. The festivities are infinite, and it runs from June 1 through June 4. They also have a virtual festival on their website.

Saskatoon Pride

During Saskatoon Pride, Two Spirit, queer, lesbian, gay, trans, bi, and other people of gender and sexual diversity, as well as their families, are recognised, valued, and celebrated. With so many entertaining events, like the famous pride march, family barbecues, and bingo, to name a few!

Noon Tunes Downtown

This year, Noon Tunes Downtown will be held downtown once more, and there are a tonne of fantastic local performers scheduled. While eating lunch, listen to some excellent music.

Kimchi Canada Festival

Save the date for the Kimchi Canada Festival at the SaskTel Centre on June 23 and 24, when you’ll be taken on a trip unlike any other. A fashion display, a marketplace, K-Pop musical acts, and more will all be there.

SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival

The Nutrien Children’s Festival of Saskatchewan, which takes place in Saskatoon every year, will return from June 1 to June 4 in Kinsmen Park in 2023. Bring the whole family to enjoy the four days of art, education, and entertainment provided by the festival’s extensive programming for kids aged 2 to 12. Nutrien Children’s Festival of Saskatchewan: Highlights for 2023

Take a look at some of the intriguing new venues, acts, and events available this year! Gustavo the Impossiblist and Dufflebag Theatre’s theatrical productions can be found at the Big Top Tent. The Rainbow Tent offers a variety of events, including drag queen storytime and lively, entertaining, and inclusive shows. A 30-minute lesson on circle dance and games is being offered by the Northern Lights Bluegrass and Old Time Music Society called “Intro to Old Time Rhythm and Dance.” This course is suitable for all ages. Also, don’t miss IEEE’s Robo-Hockey, a robot hockey competition in which 4-6 wireless robot competitors compete to teach kids robotics and coding principles.

Insider Tip : Admission to everything on offer that day is $10 for participants 2 and older, and it’s free for youngsters under 2. Nothing else takes extra payment unless you decide to buy something from one of the on-site food and drink vendors.

Nutrien Children’s Festival of Saskatchewan: Not to Miss

The festival has a lot to offer (see the festival schedule here), so the best approach is to organise your day around the things that interest you. The Critters & Creatures area, the Blue Sky Stage performances, and the Big Top Tent performances are crowd favourites. On Saturday, June 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the festival hosts a Free Sunset Party with festival artists in Kinsmen Park (admission is free).

Extra extra: While the festival itself is the highlight of the year, the festival also offers online programming to reach kids who might not be able to attend the Saskatoon-based event. This programming is inclusive, educational, and entertaining. Best for kids 2 to 12, and available for free on the festival’s YouTube channel!
